Syslog facilities on SLCs
What syslog facilities does the SLC use when logging to a syslog server?
Here is a list of syslog facilities and how they are used on SLCs:
local0 | Network logging |
local1 | Services logging |
authpriv | Authentication logging |
local3 | Device Port logging |
local4 | Diagnostic logging |
local5 | General logging |
local6 | Software logging |
In current firmware the severity level for each of these facilities except local6 can be configured on the Services:SSH/Telnet/Logging page of the web manager.
At this writing the severity levels are documented under "System Logging" starting on page 61 of the SLC User Guide:
