Syslog facilities on SLCs

What syslog facilities does the SLC use when logging to a syslog server?


Here is a list of syslog facilities and how they are used on SLCs: 

 local0  Network logging
 local1  Services logging
 authpriv  Authentication logging
 local3  Device Port logging
 local4  Diagnostic logging
 local5  General logging
 local6  Software logging

In current firmware the severity level for each of these facilities except local6 can be configured on the Services:SSH/Telnet/Logging page of the web manager. 

At this writing the severity levels are documented under "System Logging" starting on page 61 of the SLC User Guide:
