UDS10 - RS485-RS422 pinout
UDS10 - RS485-RS422 pinout
What is the pinout for RS485/RS422 connections to a UDS10, UDS100 or UDS1100?
The correct pinout for an RS485/RS422 (4 wire) connection to a UDS10, UDS100, or UDS1100 is:
7 Ground
14 TX+
15 TX-
21 RX+
22 RX-
Note that the pinout given on page C-1 of one version of the UDS10 Installation Guide (P/N 900-207, Rev. A) is incorrect, the above pinout is correct.
UDS10 and UDS100 RS485 (2-wire) connection is:
7 Ground
14 TX+
15 TX-
21 RX+
22 RX-
Jumping 14 to 21 and 15 to 22.
On the UDS1100 - The unit has internal jumpers so for a RS-485 (2-wire) connect you only need:
7 Ground
14 for +
15 for -
**Note: you can also purchase for the UDS1100 the 500-171-R adapter for screw down connections.
