WiBox-E & WiPort-G Wireless LED Functionality
WiBox-E & WiPort-G Wireless LED Functionality
Why is the wireless LED on my WiBox-E off when wireless is enabled and on when wireless is disabled?
There is a known issue with the wireless status LED on the products listed below.
- WB2100EG0-01
- WB2100EG1-01
- WB2100EG2-01
- WB2100EGB-01
- WP2001000G-02
- WP2002000G-02
- WP200200SG-02
- WP200200KG-02
The product functions correctly, however, the Wireless LED light operates opposite of what is shown in the User Guide. The current behavior of the Wireless LED is:
Wireless LED Status | Wireless On/Off | Wireless Status |
On Solid | Off | Disconnected or disabled |
On at boot, then blinking | On | Searching for network |
Blinking (very short) | On | Attempting to associate |
Off | On | Associated, power management off |
Off with WLAN activity, on with no WLAN activity | On | Associated, power management on |
This is an issue in the wireless radio driver only, not in the design of the product.
Lantronix is working with the radio manufacturer to have the problem corrected and a firmware fix will be released at a future date.
