xPrintServer - Checking for new printer drivers
xPrintServer - Checking for new printer drivers
How can I check to see if there are new drivers for my printers?
Note: To be accessable from an xPrintServer the printer must have:
- Native network support by either Ethernet connection or Wireless connection.
- The correct driver.
Please follow the procedure below to make sure you have the latest drivers. Drivers are being upgraded and added regularly.
To make sure you are using the latest updated driver please delete the printer from the xPrintServer's GUI, then re-run printer discovery:
- type 'xprintserver.local' or the xPrintServer's IP address into the address field of a web browser on a host in the same IP subnet as the xPrintServer device.
- To find the IP address of your xPrintServer, click here:
- Or, copy and paste this URL into your browser's Address field:
http://www.lantronix.com/info/xprintserver/find-my-xprintserver/
- click on Printers, then select the "gear" icon on the right end of the printer listing
- select Delete Printer from the menu
- click Discovery in the Printers menu option on the left side of the window
- click the Re-Run Discovery button
- the xPrintServer will check on the internet for new drivers and re-provision the printer
If updating the driver does not resolve the issue post a question here.
Please make sure you supply the exact make and model of printer for which you are requesting support.
