Web Pages Are Printing Incorrectly Through the xPrintServer

Why are my webpages not rendered correctly when printing from an iOS device through the xPrintServer?

If you encounter a problem with printing where the print output is gibberish, or blank pages, it is typically related to printer driver issues. On the other hand, print jobs that have formatting issues could be an issue arising from how Safari formats the print job in relation to the version of the iOS.

An example of incorrect webpage rendering is illustrated below.

The incorrectly printed web page example below was printed with a Safari browser on an iOS device running firmware v4.3.5. You can see that the left and right sides of the web page are missing (chopped off).

The correctly printed rendering of the same webpage is printed by Safari iOS device running v5.0.1.

The correctly printed example illustrates that print formatting was corrected after upgrading the iOS device to v5.0.1.

Embedded spreadsheets within webpages that print incorrectly is another issue resolved by upgrading the iOS device to v5.0.1.
