Note on Embedded Compute product line:
Based on a thorough assessment of the Radio Equipment Directive (RED) and CE cybersecurity requirements, development platforms—such as Dev Kits, Application Development Platforms (ADPs), and Hardware Development Kits (HDKs)—are not directly applicable under EN 18031. Similarly, System-on-Modules (SOMs) are not subject to direct RED/CE compliance, as they are classified as components rather than finished radio products.
However, when a SOM is integrated into a finished radio product intended for sale in the European Union, the final product must undergo a RED cybersecurity compliance evaluation, including EN 18031, as part of the CE-marking process.
