The Difference between the ‘xxx’, ‘yyy’ and ‘zzz’ serial port login commands for CoBos products

When accessing CoBos products from the serial port, what is the difference between the 3 commands. 'xxx', 'yyy' and 'zzz'?

The difference is that 'xxx' opens Setup Mode, 'yyy' opens Monitor Mode without the network stack. The 'zzz' string opens monitor mode with the network stack activated.

Use 'xxx' to open Setup Mode to configure your unit.

Use 'yyy' to open Monitor Mode without network connectivity, e.g. if there is currently no network connection.

Use 'zzz" to open Monitor Mode with network connectivity.

Instead of pressing Enter to open Setup Mode, you may also use <SHIFT> M to open Monitor Mode when you use telnet to connect to port 9999.

NOTE 1: If Monitor Mode is disabled within the expert settings of the CoBos product, only 'xxx' to open Setup Mode will work; 'yyy' or 'zzz' will not open monitor mode.

NOTE 2: Wireless products will take a little longer to open Monitor Mode with network support because 'zzz' waits for the wireless device to either;

1) Associate to an access point in infrastructure mode.  If no access point is found, the monitor mode will not be accessible.
OR
2) Associate to an ad-hoc group. If no ad-hoc group is found, the monitor mode will not be accessible.
