Device Installer does not find Linux-based device servers or xPrintServers Devices.
I have a Lantronix Linux-based device server and DeviceInstaller can't find it. How can I proceed?
The current version of Device Installer does not support our Linux based OEM Device Servers like Xport-Pro-Linux, Matchport-AR-Linux, EDS1100-LNX, EDS2100-LNX. and all xPrintServer versions.
These hardware devices do not have the response options to the Device installer program.
The all xPrintServer versions are also not supported..
- To assign the Linux OEM devices an IP-address please see chapter 3 "Target Setup" of the Linux SDK Quick Start Guide.
Please see the following link to the Linux SDK Quick Start Guide: http://www.lantronix.com/pdf/Linux-SDK_QS.pdf
- The default IP-address for the xPICO-WiFI is 192.168.0.1
- To find xPrintServers please use the following link: http://www.lantronix.com/info/xprintserver/find-my-xprintserver or use the free xPrintServer app on an iOS device. It is available in the Apple App Store.
Note: SDK programming information requires a Non-disclosure agreement with Lantronix.
