How to set MatchPort b-g to default Ethernet or Wireless modes.

I have the MatchPort b/g on your evaluation board. I would like to test the functionality of the configurable pins and setting the unit to 'Reset To Defaults (Wireless)' and 'Reset To Defaults (Ethernet).' How can I test these 2 settings?

These instructions are only for MatchPort b/g units that are placed on our evaluation board and work under the assumption that the MatchPort b/g can be configured using the web manager.

1. Connect to the MatchPort's web manager.
2. Click OK at the user name and password window.
3. On the left side, click on 'Configurable Pins' link.
4. At CP7 drop down window, select 'Reset To Defaults (Wireless)' or 'Reset To Defaults (Ethernet).' Active Level set to High.
5. Click the OK button and click on the 'Apply Settings' link.

CP7 will need to be asserted High before the MatchPort will reset the unit back to factory default configuration Ethernet or Wireless (depending on your setting).

There are 2 ways to assert the CP7 High.

Option 1 - At the pin header, jump CP7 to 3V3 and power cycle the MatchPort b/g. After power cycling, CP7 will be held High and it will reset the unit back to factory defaults Ethernet or Wireless (depending on your setting). After the unit has rebooted, remove the jumper.

NOTE: If you do not remove the jumper wires at the pin header, the MatchPort will be in a constant loop pattern, resetting the MatchPort back to default Ethernet or Wireless (depending on your setting). If the unit is in a loop pattern, you will not be able to gain access to the setup menu.

Evaluation board CP active level by default is set to Low.

Option 2 - Remove jumper for CP7 and power cycle the MatchPort b/g. The jumper is located above serial port 2. After you reboot the MatchPort b/g, place the jumper back on CP7. Removing the jumper will assert CP7 High, triggering the desired action. Placing the jumper back on CP7 sets the active level back to Low.

NOTE: If you do not place the jumper connector back on CP7, the MatchPort will be in a constant loop pattern, resetting the MatchPort back to default Ethernet or Wireless (depending on your setting). If the unit is in a loop pattern, you will not be able to gain access to the serial setup menu.

Evaluation board CP active level by default is set to Low.
