Attached, you will find the CprClean.exe program. It cleans CPR, GCPR or SCPR from a system. This includes directories, files, registry entries, install stuff, uninstall stuff, INF files, sys file (driver), etc. It also cleans the references in the Start Menu. The user should reboot the computer to complete cleanup. Running this application will clean all existing (usable and inaccessible) Lantronix virtual com ports. This utility not only erases remnant vcom ports from previous installs of CPR or SCPR, it completely uninstalls (S)CPR. This is helpful for cases where a (S)CPR application refuses to uninstall, or uninstall is not working. This will only work for Lantronix CPR (ComPortRedirector) v4.x vcom ports. This will not work for Lantronix Redirector (v3.x and earlier) vcom ports. The application version number prints out at the beginning when run. This is version 1.0.0.0. To use cprclean.exe, extract the cprclean.exe executable file from the CPRClean.zip folder. Run the command from Command line. Change directory to get to the context of cprclean.exe. Cprclean.exe can be unzipped to the C:\Windows\System32 folder to make it part of the default command path of the local PC (run from any context in Command Prompt). Type “cprclean” at the prompt to print this usage: usage: cprclean -CPR | -GCPR | -SCPR\n" " -CPR : Clean all system traces of 'Lantronix CPR'\n" " -GCPR : Clean all system traces of 'Generic CPR'\n" " -SCPR : Clean all system traces of 'Secure CPR'\n"; Sidenote: There are no restrictions on distribution.
